whoops, this will be a very muddled blog now, i always forget to update my posts on a regular basis.
im not sure what exactly to start with.
Maybe a General one...
The last few months have been mental. With the eventual culmination of business and critical studies coming to an end, i feel a bit more relaxed which is not a good thing when i have to finish the final push of ppd and research practices.
I dont like the ppd side especially, it scares me, i dont have a clue what i want to do because i dont really want to work in fashion directly.
talking and thinking about the future just stresses me out its too scary.
i have been doing work experience with steve banks at paper scissor stone but i want to wait until i have a more experienced portfolio next year to apply for work experience or a placement with firstly aitor throup and stone island.
i feel really unpassionate at the minute, i am so excited for next year and being able to form a collection where you follow the entire process of concept to finished garment. i miss pattern cutting , iover the summer i plan to make an entire range of coats, for men and women to sell in the winter i will need the money for my final collection!
i intend to update all my projects and photos of all my work, with my final portfolio.

Not. Happy.
i will upload a blog post of my last project soon. But i want to first rant about the joke of today. Getting back our results from "innovative" cut, is a joke.
I did not receive a bad mark, but when compared to others who began their garment the day before & handed in late, while i and others had spent two weeks in studio 8, 9 hours a day, to find i barely scraped a few marks above them. Ridiculous. It makes me question why i a even on this course. i dont make pretty dresses, i detest making/designing them, why when you can buy them in topshop?
I clearly picked the wrong thing to do.
innovation was clearly not the title of this project.
Not happy at all. Cant be bothered at all anymore.

Work Experience.
Ive been thinking about work experience, and im not sure entirely about what i want to do...
i would really like to learn more about tailoring, i think its one of the areas i am more interested in fashion.
Location wise i could do it in Leeds, Brighton where i live or london cos i have alot of family and mates who live there. So the choice is pretty wide..
I have a massive love for one mens tailoring company in brighton, Gresham Blakes. Its in the lanes and i use to go in there for lots of inspiration for my foundation which was over the road. so im tempted to email them for work experience next summer.
http://www.greshamblake.com/
Or Gieves and Hawkes in Leeds...
Other than tailors i literally have no idea where i would like to gain work experience.
I am going to do some on the emmerdale wardrobe set soon, a few of my friends are sound producers there and they said i can go and help out in the studio sometime!
I always wanted to do costume when i was younger, and the idea of working in television really appeals to me...
I hate thinking about the future though, it makes me feel a bit sick!
What i really want to do is move abroad, to south of france or north of spain, and go on cruise ships for a while as a barmaid and see the world...
The fashion world is all a bit cut throat for me! ive come to realise just how many people are fighting ove one job or to be different. i cant take it!
i just try not to get too caught up thinking about all that...
